Data deletion

NFU Mutual has a responsibility to exercise reasonable and practical efforts to safeguard the privacy, confidentiality and security of applicant and employment records and the personal information of our current and former employees.

Successful Applicants

Screening information collected on successful applicants for roles within Tiers A and B shall be held for 6 years in strictest confidence accessible to members of the Group HR department only. For successful applicants whose roles fall into Tiers C and D data will be held for a period of 6 months.

Personal information collected on subsequently unsuccessful applicants will be disposed of in a secure manner after the recruitment process and only interview notes will be retained in a secure place for 6 months. Following this six month period, the interview notes will be disposed of confidentially and the recruitment system will delete all references and retain the successful applicant's name and clearance certificate.

Unsuccessful Applicants

Records of unsuccessful applicants are kept to protect the Company in the event of any action arising from alleged irregularity in the recruitment and selection process.
