Year Three

Placement

Year three, the final year of the scheme. By now, you'll be part way through your Life Services placement and well on the way to having an impressive understanding of our award-winning portfolio of products, from pensions to protection to investment. The scheme finishes with a placement in Underwriting back at Head Office. Here, you'll see how underwriting contributes to our continued commercial success.

Professional qualifications

You'll continue studying towards your Diploma in Insurance, and will have the opportunity to be supported to study for your Advanced Diploma in Insurance after the scheme ends. Once you've completed the Professional Trainee Scheme, you'll move into a permanent role in one of the departments you've completed a placement in. There are lots of possibilities for you at this stage.

Personal development

The exposure (in a good way!) to senior managers continues, with more seminars and meetings. You'll also finish the third and final part of your people skills training. So, now you'll be able to communicate internally with confidence and competence as well as manage customer discussions with ease.

Reviewing your placement

As you'll have seen, we'll constantly review your goals and achievements. In your final year, we'll talk about your overall experience of the scheme and look back at how you've met your objectives. We'll also look at future goals and discuss which area of our business you'd like to specialise in. Then it's over to you - you'll have all the skills, training and qualifications you need to build a rewarding, fulfilling career.
