Working In Stratford-upon-Avon
Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare, is steeped in culture and history. Set in the beautiful rural Warwickshire countryside, on the banks of the river Avon, it’s one of the most important tourist destinations in the UK, with easy road, rail and airport access. We’re less than a couple of hours from London, only 30 minutes from Coventry Airport and only 40 minutes from Birmingham International Airport.
It’s a thriving and busy market town of just over 20,000 inhabitants with a bustling town centre complete with theatres, a good range of restaurants, bars and pubs, excellent leisure facilities, as well as all your usual high street retailers. Many of the original houses from Shakespeare's time are still in excellent condition, being preserved by the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust.
