Working in Glasgow
Glasgow, Scotland’s largest city, is as architecturally striking as it is stylish and cosmopolitan. Restored to their original splendour, areas like Buchanan Street and Merchant City have attracted fantastic shops and restaurants. Famously friendly, the Glaswegians also like a good night out and the city has produced some of the biggest names on the music circuit today.
Enjoying a recent string of awards, including City of Culture (1990), City of Architecture (1999) and Capital of Sport (2003), Glasgow has benefited from both investment and innovation to become a centre for commerce, tourism and culture, with excellent parks and museums (most of which are free), coupled with easy access to the Highlands and Scottish islands.
