'Meter reader, driving instructor, bank worker… I’ve certainly had my fair share of jobs. But from the very first day, I knew I felt at home here at NFU Mutual.

Initially, you enjoy a full six weeks of training, during which targets are never mentioned and everybody’s always willing to lend a hand. It was great fun actually - a real mix of learning and team building activities. The pace is determined by your individual performance, so you never feel left behind. In fact, every single person who trained with me felt comfortable and confident before they went live on the phones.

I was initially licensed to sell Car, Home and Contents Insurance, though within a month I learnt all about commercial products. I guess I found my forte, as a couple of months later I moved to the Commercial Team. I’m still there now, working with business clients and studying towards an industry recognised qualification – I certainly hope to progress, as I know there’s no shortage of opportunities here at NFU Mutual.'
